I've very recently started a new project in Unity version 2021.3.17f1. I've been having this issue where, no matter what I do, I always get this terrible screen tear upon building the game.
Looking for similar answers, many people have said to do some combination of either enabling vsync in Unity quality settings, and disabling it in Nvidia control panel, or vice versa.
I've tried practically every combination of quality settings and Nvidia settings under the sun, and while sometimes it gets a bit better, nothing removes screen tears completely (aside from capping the frame rate to some arbitrarily low number).
What's interesting to me is that no combination makes things universally better, e.g. enabling vsync in quality settings gives better windowed results, but worse full screen results, and disabling it gives better full screen results, but far worse windowed results.
This issue is extremely annoying, and I am yet to find a working answer as to why my project refuses to avoid screen tearing. I would much appreciate any help.
